The Grand Irish Pub

The Irish Pub is open daily from 11-00 till late 7 days a week. Besides being a charming traditional Irish pub it carries an extensive menu with some old favourites like the Guinness stew, Kumara patch Pie or famous Apple Pie as well as some new dishes like the Mild Durban Beef Curry and the exiting “Bunny Chow”” a traditional South African Beef Curry served in a half loaf of white bread.

The Grand Irish Pub has again been awarded the Platinum award for serving standards of our Guinness on tap. We are the only bar in the Wanganui district that carries this prestigious award.

On a Wednesday night from 19:00 The Grand Irish Pub is the place to be for great Quiz nights.

Every second Sunday at 12:00 we have the local Irish band for some lovely Sunday afternoon entertainment and every Sunday of the month we have the Grand Jam from 18:30 – 21:00. This is a great musical get together for local musicians to get together and provide some light musical entertainment.

Adjacent to the Irish Pub we have our pool room with two vintage pool tables which is a great room to hang out with friends over some cold ones. On a Thursday night we have free pool evenings which is always popular.

The Irish Pub has also got a Lion foundation gaming room for those who would like to try their luck at winning the Jackpot
